Late summer photos of the inventory at WHN. This set includes a glimpse of the exciting and extensive renovation to the nursery’s namesake, the historic White House, which is located on our property. Built around 1760 as a Mennonite Meeting House, it was last restored around 1820. Located in a floodplain of the Shenandoah River, this building has stood the test of time and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Years of planning are coming to fruition under the watchful eye of our nursery manager, Eric Sours, who is wearing many hats. This renovation, including the complete interior, will also provide more access to the general public at times during the year. Part two of three; photos taken 4 Sept 2025.
