White House Natives, along with Public House Produce, is extremely excited and humbled by its recent award from the Virginia Association of Community Rehabilitation Programs (or vaACCSES) as the 2015 Community Partner of the year for the Commonwealth.

Eric Sours, White House Natives Nursery Manager, will be joining his brother, David Sours, owner of Public House Produce and White House Natives team member, to accept this award on November 12th in Virginia Beach.  This award is in recognition of the efforts that these two gentlemen and their organizations have made to support Shen-Paco, a non-profit community-based agency providing vocational, developmental, educational, and rehabilitative services to adults with disabilities.

Without the help from Shen-Paco and its dedicated staff, White House Natives would not have the necessary resources to produce the wide range of premium native trees for which we have become known.

Completing our second year partnering with this organization has brought a great deal of joy, not only to our team, but also for the wonderful people that make up Shen-Paco.  To see a smile and get a thank you and have the Shen-Paco participants ask to come work at our nursery is a feeling that is tough to beat and even express at times.  These hard-working folks truly deserve the recognition they are receiving.  This partnership is a success due to Eric and David Sours’ initiative and mentoring and our thanks and praise goes out to both of these gentlemen!
