White House Natives [WHN] hosted several tree stewards from EcoAction/Arlington County last week to tag over 150 native trees for their fall planting needs. This is the result of a long-term relationship between South Riding Nurseries, Davey Tree and Arlington County. We had beautiful weather and enjoyed walking the nursery to hand pick the exact native tree needed for each location. We are fortunate to have hosted this semi-annual event for several years and seeing many of the same faces. We are able to provide a broad mix of locally grown native trees to choose from and in turn learn about the needs of an urban community and how WHN can play a role in their forestry solutions.  Photos taken 12 October  2022.
