One of White House Nurseries’s most valuable assets is our soil. We utilize winter cover crops of tillage radishes that help loosen the soil and add organic matter while flourishing with the cooler fall temperatures as a follow up to our summer cover crop of buckwheat. In addition to seeding our 15’ wide driving/digging rows with grass seed, we use white clover in our 10’ spacing rows to reduce mowing and add nitrogen into the soil.
